Promoters are responsible for the quality and legitimacy of traffic they send.

Generally acceptable

  • Your own websites or communities where promotion is allowed.
  • Social audiences where the platform permits the link.
  • Email audiences that opted in to receive your messages.
  • Direct sharing to people who knowingly choose to visit.

Prohibited or high-risk

  • Bots, headless browsers, click farms, auto-refreshers, or traffic generators.
  • Hidden iframes, forced background loading, pop-unders that fake engagement, or invisible ads.
  • Misleading users about what happens after clicking.
  • Multiple accounts or coordinated attempts to bypass frequency rules.

Traffic that cannot be reasonably demonstrated as human and intentional may be rejected, withheld, or investigated.
