Generally acceptable
- Your own websites or communities where promotion is allowed.
- Social audiences where the platform permits the link.
- Email audiences that opted in to receive your messages.
- Direct sharing to people who knowingly choose to visit.
Prohibited or high-risk
- Bots, headless browsers, click farms, auto-refreshers, or traffic generators.
- Hidden iframes, forced background loading, pop-unders that fake engagement, or invisible ads.
- Misleading users about what happens after clicking.
- Multiple accounts or coordinated attempts to bypass frequency rules.
Traffic that cannot be reasonably demonstrated as human and intentional may be rejected, withheld, or investigated.
